Ryan Staton and Devin Walsh met while working at the same financial planning company in 2013. The two quickly noticed how seamlessly they worked together and how closely their values aligned. As the years went by and they went their separate ways in the industry, their work experiences only continued to solidify how their personalities and expertise complemented each other.
Over the years, Ryan continued to gain the respect of his clients by constantly improving the quality of his services and learning new skills to provide tailor-fit solutions for his clients. He was known for pushing the limits of the financial industry’s traditions by doing everything in his abilities to provide honest and transparent services. His client base quickly grew because of his kind, warm personality and his ability to make complicated and intimidating topics easy-to-understand.
Meanwhile, Devin found himself drawn to the bigger picture of the businesses he worked for. In his most recent role as the Chief Operating Officer for a local brokerage firm, he established his passion and talent for learning the ins and outs of a business, to help it succeed. Devin thrives on organization and processes, while keeping the larger goals in mind. He is passionate about building relationships and creating the ultimate client experience.
As they continued to work in the financial industry, it became clear that the world is changing for the better and the industry is not evolving alongside it. The financial industry is struggling to maintain trust with its clients and refuses to make the necessary changes to rebuild that trust. They were unsatisfied with industry traditions and wanted to be at the forefront of its inevitable transformation. Ryan and Devin’s mutual desire to do things the right way brought them to co-founding StatonWalsh in 2019.
